The law of attraction and resistance

The law of attraction and resistance

Resistance is not a new word, but for many of us awareness of resistance is new. In Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, resistance is defined: "to withstand, to strive against, to exert force in opposition, to counteract, defeat or frustrate."

Resistance is useful if there is a flu or virus around. If your body's immune system is working as it should, you'll have good "resistance to disease"--you'll stay healthy. Resistance to the temptation to do something that goes against your core values will strengthen you, while giving into that temptation will weaken your character.

Resistance can be an indicator that something isn't quite right for you, at this time. It's good to notice resistance and to ask yourself, "Why am I experiencing this resistance?"

There's another side to resistance. The other side of resistance destroys the very thing that we desire. This resistance arises from a dislike for change. Humans are sort of strange in that we offer a desire to the Universe, and then we resist the very changes this desire sets in motion. For example, when I offered my desire to become financially independent, I didn't realize that the answer would come in the shape of loss of income from my former spouse. But it did. When I asked for financial independence I had a different scenario in mind that went something like this:  "My business income will increase steadily until it reaches a certain amount, then the spousal support can decrease."

The Universe responded to my desire--just not as I had expected--and I resisted the change. The Universe knew that in order to become independent I had to first BE independent. I wanted the security of spousal income, but that emotional dependence on an outside source was holding me back from independence.

I find it easier to accept change when I have initiated it. When someone else initiates change that affects me, my first reaction is to resist. However, the Law of Attraction teaches that everything that touches my life is the result of some vibration in me. It may be a vibration I don't like. It may be a subtle vibration I pay little attention to. It may be a vibration that has gone underground--like anger or hurt that I did not acknowledge at the time I first experienced it.

Emotions are "energy in motion." When we try to suppress an emotion (especially one we've judged as negative or dangerous) it does not go away, it goes into our subconscious mind where it silently sabotages our life by setting up resistance which invites more negative experiences and creates tension between people who used to enjoy each other.

"The greatest disintegrating element in the human consciousness is resistance." ~Charles Fillmore, The Revealing Word, 1931

Resistance doesn't just put on the brakes to receiving our desires--Resistance disintegrates; it separates; it decomposes; it fragments our True Self. We lose our sense of wholeness. We feel disconnected from Source (God, the Divine). This disconnection begins to show up in how we feel about ourselves and how we relate to others. Soon, we are quarreling with our best friend and blaming them for the situation. Sound familiar?

What can we do about resistance?  Is there an alternative?  Should we resist resistance? That doesn't work. If we notice resistance and try to suppress it or resist it--we create MORE!

The alternative is acceptance. Not resignation, but creative acceptance. I teach the history of the Law of Attraction and it's interesting to note that in the Middle Ages there was a great persecution of anyone who held a philosophical belief that differed from that defined by political and religious authorities. People who understood the Law of Attraction, those individuals who maintained their personal power through controlling their thoughts and emotions, were faced with a serious choice: either resist the powers-that-be and die; comply with the demands of the aggressors, and deny themselves; or be creative. In that case, many practitioners of metaphysics  (the Law of Attraction) simply moved to Arabia where they found freedom to live their beliefs in an integral way.

Change is bound to happen. People are going to make choices which affect our lives. We are going to make choices which have an effect on others. Charles Handy said, "Change is the only constant." How we handle change--invited or uninvited--will affect our vibration and in turn, our quality of life.

Take a few moments to notice resistance in your body, mind or emotions. What does it feel like? Restriction?  Tightness? Blockage? Frustration? Confusion? Judgment?  Indignation? Yes, all those feelings are the evidence of resistance.

When I'm noticing resistance, I ask my Higher Self for understanding and a creative acceptance. My prayer will be something like this:  "Please show me the root of my resistance and at the same time, give me an idea of how to creatively accept this situation."

The bottom line is:  Change is going to happen. I'm either going to create resistance or acceptance. Once choice contributes to the disintegration of my character and the other strengthens my sense of wholeness. It's my choice.

Tips on how to deal with stress

 How To Deal With Stress

Stress is fast becoming the biggest health problem in modern society. Financial pressures, work pressures, family pressures and so much to do so little time to do it all! Here is five quick ways to ease the pressure and relieve stress:

1. Make time to switch off from the daily trials and tribulations and relax for at least one hour every day. Just shut the world out and do something you enjoy. Reading, playing a musical instrument, taking a relaxing bath with music and candles (and maybe a glass of wine) are all great ways to unwind and will be extremely beneficial to your mental health.

2. If you are dealing with a stressful situation and you have a lot on your plate then it can be very hard to find solutions. You are caught up in the midst of a sandstorm and it is very difficult to see the way out. A good idea is to get some distance from your problems so you can gather your thoughts. If possible, take a day or even a weekend away from your usual surroundings, somewhere peaceful, and relax. Take a journal along so you can jot down any ideas. Distance away from problems can bring clarity and by relaxing, you will be calmer and solutions will come far easier than when you are in the heat of battle.

3. One of the reasons people become stressed is because they are facing a change or even a number of changes to their lives. Change is a constant in life and refusing to accept change can cause stress levels to soar. When you are faced with a change, try to find the positives associated with change and embrace change instead of resisting it. Every change presents an opportunity for you to grow and there are always positives to find in even the most trying of circumstances. Change does not bring stress, it is all about how you react to change and if you react in a negative way, you will do yourself no end of harm.

4. There always seems to be an endless list of jobs that need doing: repairs around the home, paperwork, car maintenance, throwing out junk, cleaning the patio, weeding the garden ñ on and on and on! The more we put them off, the more the list grows and the more they contribute to your stress levels. So make a list of all of these chores and then schedule something I call a ìBlitz Dayî. On this day, you will rise early and spend the whole day sorting out each of these jobs. Take few breaks and only have a quick bite at lunchtime and just blitz through these irritating but necessary tasks. This will get rid of them, you will lower the stress they cause but more importantly, you will realize just how effective and industrious you can be when you apply the full force of your will to accomplish things.

5. Treat yourself to a pamper day. This is a day where you escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday living and enjoy some stress-free time. You will also feel great and give your well being a huge boost. On this day, have a light workout, a swim, a sauna, a Jacuzzi, a steam room. A massage would be nice and if you have access to one, a Turkish baths will give you an invigorating experience. Try to do this at least once a month, it is an excellent stress-buster.

These 5 tips on how to deal with stress will help you to significantly reduce your stress levels but they will only work for you if you put them into action. Give them a go and you will be amazed at the results!

Creating automatic prosperity and wealth

Creating automatic prosperity and wealth

Attaining automatic wealth and prosperity is a dream most everyone has, but few ever achieve it. Why? The average person is stuck in a rut with a job they dislike and overwhelming debt. This cycle is hard to break, but many people are breaking out and achieving their financial goals through the Internet. The Internet has made it possible for millions of people to create automatic wealth, and there's still room for you! Here's how you can discover your Internet wealth dreams.

Create Wealth, Not Just an Income

With the Internet, the opportunity is there for you to create automatic wealth, not merely an income. You can build one automatic business or several until they reach prosperity - right from your own home computer. The Internet creates the ultimate wealth package because it's so vast in the number of people that use it, but yet, so personal in that one little niche market can earn you a fortune.

You can choose from thousands of business ideas and pick one small market to target for your business. A small market online, however, can mean big dollars for you because it might contain thousands or millions of prospects around the world. The Internet connects you to the outside world and doesn't limit you to those who drive or walk past your local store location.

Automated Business

Another reason it's more feasible to achieve automatic wealth online is because you can have an automated business. Automated means it can run on auto-pilot once you design your website and set things in motion. You can receive automated payments through online forms. You can automate an e-zine (email newsletter) to your customers. You can automate electronic products by email such as e-books or training materials. There are a number of ways to create automated wealth with an Internet business.

No Longer Wait for Paychecks

Another advantage of an Internet business is you can receive daily payments through your website. Many online business owners accept credit cards or use a third party payment processor such as PayPal or StormPay to accept payments from their customers. Through these venues, money goes directly into your account. This gives you a steady cash flow for your business so you can have capital for your income, business promotion, and inventory.

Tips to Build Automatic Wealth

Use your free time at home to surf the Internet and find business opportunities that interest you.

Join with one or a few others who are already successful so you can learn the basics of online business. Even if you need to make a small investment, it could be well worth the training you'll receive.

Decide on a business that's right for you and schedule daily times to work on your business - promoting, analyzing, and building.

Keep building until you've acquired enough automatic wealth to quit your day job!

Another key to creating automatic prosperity and wealth is to stay away from people
who cannot fathom this concept. Whether they mean to or not nine times out of ten
they will try to discourage you.

Whatever Internet business you choose, remember that it takes patience and consistency to build an online business, just as it would any other type of business. The main differences are that you can work from your home as you're building the business, you can set your own work schedule, and you can earn a lot just by reaching a small niche market for almost any popular product.

Start right now and build your automatic prosperity machine. GROW UP GET RICH

When you own your time your free

Let's talk about life and why it sucks for so many people. You get up in the morning try to to stuff your face with a somewhat nutritional breakfast and off you go into the lions' den called work. Your in traffic upset because...your in traffic. The same thoughts of creating a purpose driven life run through your head every morning, then you jump out of your car and go straight to your cubicle. As they say the rest is history.

We have become delusional. Our power comes from within us and we will never arrive at the point that we are supposed to be at personally in our lives if we do not realize this.

When you are looking at your watch consistently because you do not own your time you are a SLAVE. Your a grown ass person why are you being told when to go eat, but more importantly why are you listening. You know it is not against the law to take responsibility for your life.

Oh wait a minute.....That word RESPONSIBILITY came up

When you take responsibility for your time here on earth then and only then can you create your kingdom. People who have money and time to do the things they love understand the concept of not being a slave.
Well I have to work in order to eat? I have to make money?

working 40 hrs a week and making maybe 500 dollars is not eating. And its more time then that. You come home to distress from work, but after you cook for the kids, fold laundry, drive through traffic, clean the house, speak to your kids about their day, spend time with your significant other, and of course sleep.

And for you millionaires who think they are free.....think again. If you are making millions of dollars and spending 90% of it on crap that just clutters your life than your time and resources are controlling you.

If you are not building your kingdom....then you are constructing another person's kingdom
simply put , you have to sacrifice something to operate on your own time. What sacrifice are you willing to make in order to become a better version of yourself?
